GEN and IDB Lab Launch Two-Year Initiative to Strengthen Entrepreneurial Ecosystems Across Latin America and the Caribbean
This initiative will deepen the connective infrastructure between local ecosystems and global markets. By doing so, we aim to unlock more equitable flows of venture capital and angel investment, especially to underserved communities and secondary cities. Over the next two years, we will, among other goals, train 100 Fellows across the region — including leaders within Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs) and angel networks.
Entrepreneurship World Cup Returns With $1,000,000 in Prizes Across Early-Stage, Idea Stage, Growth Stage, and AI Subtracks
Applications are now open for the 2026 Entrepreneurship World Cup. Founders are invited to apply for a share of US$1 million in equity-free cash prizes. Top finalists will win a trip to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to pitch at the Global Finals, connect with VCs and corporate partners, be mentored by industry leaders, and benefit from soft landing support for scaling in the MENA region.
GEN Partners With The Knot Worldwide to Launch $500,000 Grant Program for Wedding Entrepreneurs
The Program, administered through GEN's Small Business Grants Program, will award $500,000 in financial grants, advertising support, and mentorship to U.S. wedding entrepreneurs who have been in business for at least six months, have demonstrated active revenue stream from their operations, and earn at least 50% of their business from weddings.

GEN Atlas, the world's largest compendium of entrepreneurship policy case studies, has expanded to cover 500 entries. The latest case study explores the mechanisms Albania is deploying to channel diaspora capital, mentorship, and networks toward domestic founders as a strategic tool for ecosystem growth.
